Fir

New fern and missing carrots

Our carrots have gone missing. Someone pulled them from our garden, along with vegetables from neighbouring gardens as well. It’s a little disappointing, but at least we were able to eat a couple before they were pilfered. The good news is that we can see our lettuce sprouting already and there’s even a little fir tree coming up in our garden.

Garden cherry tomatoes

Lots of green and a little purple

The cherry tomatoes in our garden are finally coming out, they’re a little behind the ones on our deck. Also, we’ve had a few beans recently, the purple ones seem to be the only beans that grew, even though we planted three kinds. The basil is doing ok, but it looks like an insect or two has taken a liking to its leaves. In one of the vacant garden plots, the garden community decided to plant pumpkins. Hopefully we’ll get some this year. The mural next to our community garden has been repainted, and it looks fantastic.
