New pathways
On the weekend, the gardeners gathered to place paving stones to create walking paths in the garden. Â More poppies are blooming and the rest of the garden is doing well.
Poppies are poppin’
More poppies are staring to bloom and a couple of the sunflowers are getting bigger. Â By the looks of things, our strawberry patch will be producing a bunch of berries this year. Â The transplanted lettuce seem to be doing well.
Garden varieties
We’ve moved a few of our tomato plants and lettuce to our garden this week. Â The strawberry plants continue to blossom and berries are starting to show. Â Some of the poppies are blooming and potato plants have been hilled up.
Strawberry fields
The strawberry plants in the garden continue to get more flowers, and we have some mint amongst the strawberries. Â The potato plants are getting bigger as well. Â The poppy flowers are starting too, with a few of our newly planted sunflowers sprouting next to them. Inside, we have a bushel of tomato plants and some lettuce too.
New lettuce is sprouting
The old lettuce wasn’t growing, so we’re trying some new lettuce seeds, and they are thriving.
Starting new tomatoes and lettuce
We’ve started three varieties of tomatoes (Italian Paste, Tiny Tim, and Red Robin) as well as some lettuce in our window.
Lotsa lettuce
We returned from our trip to find our garden with an abundance of lettuce along with our new poppies and further growth in our potato and strawberry plants
